Thermal Hadron Production by QCD Hawking Radiation
نویسنده
چکیده
The QCD counterpart of Hawking radiation from black holes leads to thermal hadron production in high energy collisions, from e+e− annihilation to heavy ion interactions. This hadronic radiation is formed by tunnelling through the event horizon of colour confinement and is emitted at a universal temperature TH ≃ (σ/2π)1/2, where σ denotes the string tension. Since the event horizon does not allow information transfer, the radiation is thermal “at birth”.

Thermal Hadronization and Hawking-Unruh Radiation in QCD
We conjecture that because of color confinement, the physical vacuum forms an event horizon for quarks and gluons which can be crossed only by quantum tunneling, i.e., through the QCD counterpart of Hawking radiation by black holes. Since such radiation cannot transmit information to the outside, it must be thermal, of a temperature determined by the chromodynamic force at the confinement surfa...
متن کاملHawking–Unruh phenomenon in the parton language
Inelastic hadron interactions at high energies are accompanied by a pulse of a strong chromo–electric field. This field leads to the decay of QCD vacuum which proceeds through the emission of partons with a thermal spectrum. In a semi–classical treatment, the effective temperature of the spectrum is determined by the acceleration of partons in the classical chromo–electric field, in accord with...
متن کاملFinal state QCD corrections to off-shell single top production in hadron collisions
In this paper I study final state QCD radiative corrections to offshell single top production via decaying W at hadron collider energies. With respect to the narrow width approximation, taking into account the widths of the particles lowers the cross section, but QCD corrections to Γtop enhance it. The tree level Breit-Wigner distribution of the produced top invariant mass is distorted by final...
متن کاملNuclear Shadowing Effects on Prompt Photons at RHIC and LHC
The transverse momentum distribution of prompt photons coming from the very early phase of ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions for the RHIC and LHC energies is calculated by means of perturbative QCD. We calculate the single photon cross section (A+B → γ +X) by taking into account the partonic sub processes q + q → γ + g and q + g → γ + q as well as the Bremsstrahlung corrections to those pr...
متن کاملNew Applications of Resummation in Non-Abelian Gauge Theories: QED⊗QCD Exponentiation for LHC Physics, IR-Improved DGLAP Theory and Resummed Quantum Gravity
We present the elements of three applications of resummation methods in non-Abelian gauge theories: (1), QED⊗QCD exponentiation and shower/ME matching for LHC physics; (2), IR improvement of DGLAP theory; (3), resummed quantum gravity and the final state of Hawking radiation. In all cases, the extension of the YFS approach, originally introduced for Abelian gauge theory, to non-Abelian gauge th...
